For the citizens of Huntsville, creativity, courage, and cooperation were the keys to working together to integrate their city and schools in peace during the Civil Rights era. In an engaging celebration of this lesser-known chapter in American and African-American history, author Hester Bass and illustrator E. B. Lewis show children how racial discrimination, bullying, and unfairness can be faced successfully with perseverance and ingenuity. This book will be read aloud by long time Fantasy Family, Mark Moore, who most recently directed Fantasy’s “Watson’s Go To Birmingham”. This reading will only be available only in our new private Facebook group @StorytimeWithFPCTA.
