Kailey Burkhardt - Associate Education Director

Kailey holds a dual BA in Theatre and English from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and has been an active part of the regional theatre community in North Alabama (and beyond) since 2003. In 2012, she began teaching for FPCTA in their after school programs, Fantasy in the Classroom, and went on to become Education Coordinator, Lab 87 Conservatory DIrector, and TYA Tour Manager in 2016. In 2022, Kailey went back to her roots at UAH as their Performing Arts Coordinator where she worked with the Department of Music, Theatre, and Film as a program administrator. In May of 2023, Kailey was thrilled to find her way back to Fantasy, now as their Associate Education Director and Senior Teaching Artist. She has also worked professionally as an actor, director, production stage manager, and professional consultant for: Rattlestick Playwright Productions, Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Fantasy Playhouse Children's Theatre & Academy, Huntsville Shakespeare, Theatre Huntsville, Huntsville Community Chorus, Bank Street Players, Barn Owl Robotics, Arts Huntsville, and Spell Bound Creations. Favorite productions include: Eurydice, Orphan Train, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Tinker Bell, 'dentity Crisis, How to Succeed in Business, Peter and the Wolf, and Akeelah and the Bee.
